Silica sand active carbon filter and sodium ion exchange

Silica Sand Filter
The system traps suspended solids in high-quality silica sand, protecting downstream equipment and improving water clarity. You initiate self-backwash via a manual valve to flush the media and extend filter life.

Activated Carbon Filter
This stage removes color, odor and organic compounds, plus heavy metals (Hg, Pb, Cd, Zn, Fe, Mn, Cr) and hydrogen sulfide. A manual valve enables periodic backwashing to regenerate the carbon bed.

Sodium Ion-Exchange (Softener)
The resin exchanges its Na⁺ ions for Ca²⁺ and Mg²⁺ in the feed water, reducing hardness and delivering soft water for your process.
